This photo is inspired by Gautama Buddha and the people who farm the sacred Jatiluwih Rice Terrace in Bali.
Exploring the Jatiluwih terrace felt like discovering the middle way. We hiked throughout the breathtaking rice fields and basked in the beauty of Bali. This image is a composite of Jatiluwih rice terrace, and Buddha.
To reach Nirvana you must know the four Noble truths, and follow the middle way. This will lead you to the eightfold path to enlightenment. When I see this photograph I see the middle way and I get to experience Nirvana.
I chose metallic photo paper to accentuate the color and sheen of the image. Creating a beautiful soft luster on a surface of the photograph.
