This photo is inspired by Gautama Buddha and the people at Maya Ubud in Bali.
Our stay at Maya Ubud was absolutely incredible. We enjoyed a private hut situated near the edge of the Jungle, and every morning it would call out to us. The first day we wandered the grounds and hiked a path that lead into the dense foliage. This image is a composite of one such path, with Buddha, and Mount Batur. When I see this photograph I see the Eightfold Path.
I chose metallic photo paper to accentuate the color and sheen of the image. Creating a beautiful soft luster on a surface of the photograph.
